From Metković, cruise north to Split, Croatia's second-largest city, where Roman Emperor Diocletian built a retirement palace now under UNESCO protection. The city is also famous for its waterfront – a happening place buzzing with life and lined by promenades and outdoor cafes. Wine and waterfalls! Begin the day with a morning Coastal Cruise to Skradin, where we'll get aboard the coach and make our first stop at a local winery. Enjoy a light lunch of tapas and wine tasting before walking through the Krka Waterfalls National Park to Skradinski Buk. This jaw-droppingly beautiful park is home to 17 waterfalls, each up to 100 meters wide and tumbling comprehensively into the Krka river. The old town of Sibenik is famous for its old town centre, with its narrow streets and historic buildings. Visit the Cathedral of Saint James, built in Gothic style and decorated with stone carvings. Admire the frescoes inside the church, attributed to one of the most important Croatian painters from the end of the 15th century, Grgurev Andrija Wander, and discover the historic core and waterfront. After breakfast, head for Zadar, the oldest university town in Croatia, located on the Adriatic Sea. The Roman Forum and St. Donat Church are just two must-see landmarks. Zadar's city walls, over 30 churches, museums, and former noble families' palaces and villas are also notable attractions. In the morning, head towards Rab. An accurate picture of the famous Mediterranean side of Croatia, Rab is the third largest island in the Adriatic Sea. Climb its medieval walls and explore its old town, full of exciting sights and galleries. Explore palaces, churches, and squares. There's a slight Montmartre feel to this charming place, with many artists painting and exhibiting out on the streets. Legend has it that local nuns created a special Rab cake for a visiting Pope, and we will sample it after the tour. Overnight in Rab.

The famous Opatija Riviera is often compared to the French Riviera, and the magnificent views of it from the sea follow ahead. This beautiful thermal spa town dates back to the 19th century and has remained a popular attraction for visitors worldwide. It is well-known as one of Europe's most famous seaside spas, and its history is rich in culture, music, and fine architecture. There's a real café-society here. Overnight in the port of Opatija.
