Sipan
Sipan is one of the Elaphiti Islands, which were once a part of the glorious Dubrovnik Republic and shared its wealth due to that association. The inhabitants of the Elaphiti left after the Republic lost its significance. As a result, only three islands are inhabited now; however, the good side effect is that they are almost entirely devoid of cars. For this reason, they are the ideal place to escape the hustle and bustle of Dubrovnik, thanks to their quiet, lush vegetation and enticing atmosphere. There is little to do on this island other than take in the peaceful atmosphere that it provides.
Follow the main road to get to the island if you want to walk there. You will discover a delightful combination of craggy hills and a long, fertile plain that is dotted with occasional small villages, vineyards, olive groves, ruined summer residences of Dubrovnik nobility, rosemary, and other herbs.
Have a drink on one of the beachside terraces while taking in some of the most breathtaking sunsets you've ever witnessed, and make sure you swim in the bay at nighttime under the moonlight!
